It is great to be back on the water! Yesterday and today we fished the Catch & Release area below the Bull Shoals Dam. The Dam was generating mid level flows and the fishing was great! Take a look at the short video trailer I posted last night of the opening days fishing we had yesterday. The video is on the Home Page of this website.
We saw the gulls diving to the water below the dam today, and several of the trout we caught were expelling shad. Even though there are not large numbers of shad coming through the Bull Shoals Dam, there was a fair bite on a white plastic worm today. The best bite going for me over the last two days has been while using an egg pattern fly fished on a spinning rod & reel with a drop weight or "river rig" as we call the set up.
Our telephone has been busy and 2012 looks to be shaping up into being a great year for business!
